I am going to purchase the Microgarden complete setup, but am torn between the Ebb&Flow vs. the Drip. I hear the drip is a better, but I worry that clogs might become an issue. Can someone advise me what would be best and is clogging with a brand new system really an issue (I can understand if it was used before and not properly maintained). Thanks for the advice...

although I have only had a few small clogs, they were likely generated by user error. If you do proper clean-up and maintenance, especially between grows. You shouldn't have a problem.

In large operation's ebb and flow is used for propagation, then transferred to nft for vegetative and drip for fruiting/flowering plants. Hope this helps BPF

would it be possible to grow 2.5 to 3 foot plants in the microgarden?

The Microgarden will be a little small for 3 foot plants. Rather have a look at a Turbo Garden (http://www.bghydro.com/BGH/Itemdesc.asp?ic=HGSTGEFRG&eq=&Tp=) or a few Waterfarms (http://www.bghydro.com/BGH/Itemdesc.asp?ic=HGSBSWFC&eq=&Tp=). For 3 foot plants, these two systems will give you better results than the Microgarden.
