Forget it decided not to use one. I'll just do regular changes.

Once I get my five post in I'll post some pix.

You can get a pretty good idea of how good the meter is by the price. The cheap meters are going to have fewer features and less accuracy. The more expensive meters are going to last longer. You pretty much get what you pay for when it comes to TDS meters.

You are going to need Ph and TDS meters if you want to do hydro successfully.

If you don't meter, all your successive posts will have questions about why your plants look so bad. Ph and TDS control are critical to hydro success.

I have a good and accurate Ph meter.

I bought a TDS/EC meter a few years back. paid about $85 for it . The piece a junk would not stay calibrated, basically had to recalibrate it every day I used it.

I was hoping a few people would chime in and say I have this and it's dependable.

Any way I'm just doing salad greens for home use. Doing a change every 2 weeks I should be able to get by without a meter for now. If I branch off to other vegetables I'll get a meter.

Thanks for the replies.
