I just received my new 600 HPS Luminaire A/C Growlite system. I also purchased a single outlet analog timer to switch the light on and off.
The light worked for two cycles and then the bulb (an AIT LU600W 110v bulb) burned out.
Has anyone had this happen? And do you have any idea on what recourse I have?
I can't afford $70 every couple of days if this keeps up and BHG's 30 day return policy seems to exclude light bulbs.
Help, please?

HPS lamp life expectancy is 10,000 -20,000 hours.

If you bought it from a good shop, your should have a 1 year warranty on the bulb as long as the glass isn't actually broken. Hopefully you still have the receipt. You should get roughly a good years use out of the bulb. Personally i prefer hortilux Bulbs, their website has some great info on bulb care and replacement strategies.

longevity is one of the reasons why we believe that LED grow lights are the future. also low power requirements and ability to customize the light frequencies.
