hello everyone, this is my first post. i am 2 1/2 weeks into germination/veg cycle of my first hydro garden and am ready to purchase a ballast. my question is what are the major differences between the magnetic and electronic ballasts? from the reading i've done so far it seems to be rf interference, temp difference while running, the electronic draws less amps and is quieter. the lumitek ballast will operate both mh and hps bulbs. is there anything else that i should take into consideration?

thanks

I've been using LED lighting for about one year along with co2...and the results and overall costs are much less.

check out www.ledgrowlights.com

I've been a customer and don't get fooled by fly by nighters on ebay.

Peace and Grow:cool:

First post...want to clarify the yeild is better and the overall costs are much less than using MH or HPS.

I was getting .78 grams /watt without co2 but when it was added it went to 1.12 grams /watt

obviously now its much higher but my electricity consumption has dropped by70%

I operate 2 4x8 hydroponic tables with a total of 64 plants

One crop completed and next crop started in a 90 day max. I veg for 2 weeks max depending on size of my clones.

Current strain is whiteberry by greenhouse seeds which is a single main cola .

Anyway, a little off topic but peace and out
