I can't seem to figure out why my 2-3 times used set of filters for my RO/DI unit gives me a reading of 20-22 PPM.

Is this acceptable? Or should I buy a new set?

On a similar note, I was playing with a new TDS meter that I received yesterday from Hanna. I was measuring a cup of water which is processed by my reverse osmosis system. TDS reading was about 2, compared to 20 something for tap water. Does that sound right?

1) ro/di "used 2 to 3 times," (? You only ran a brand new system twice? Like a gallon or the whole tank from full to empty two times?) if so give it another few times to fill the tank and drain it. The prefilters sometimes take 50 gallons or so to break in then run clean. Good to/di filters should produce water near zero tds with similar ec.
Post #2) sounds like your system is working.

Sounds OK to me, Its not critical that you get to zero TDS, it all depends on what you are growing and how it reacts. I'd try to use it a few more times and continally watch the TDS and see if you get it to drop.
