Default White dots? (Mold or Res.?)

I dont know what this is. Deciding to grow fresh veggies has proven to be a big task =\. Ok now for what this crap is. All i know and have found out about these white dots, that are all over the LECA/Rockwool, could be Mold or residue from the nutrients in the water. I have no clue if it could spread or if its just something simple that wont cause any problems.. i dont know if it will kill plants or if its just an imbalance in the PH or something. I have found no helpful information about this and if you type "Mold on rockwool" or anything of that nature you get well.. try it and find out. No helpful information... Nobody seems to post pictures when talking about it either soo.. Heres a picture...

What is it and how do i get rid of it? Thanks ahead of time!~

That looks like a mold. Using a beneficial bacteria like Piranha will clear and prevent that. Spray on the affected area and add to the reservoir.

Salt buildup usually forms in ring patterns around the hydroton where the water level is. The structures are crystalline and feel grainy.
