Thread: is induction grow light better than HID and LED grow light?

  1. #1

    Default is induction grow light better than HID and LED grow light?

    I heard that induction grow lights have longer lifespan and lower heat. 400W induction light can equal 1000W LED light?

    Has anyone tried induction grow light?

    Right,i am not sure that maybe it can save energy,can better use of power,can help plant grow ect.But you know ,the LED light's utilization of electrical energy is 80%.400W induction light can equal 1000W LED light?what is the utilization of electrical about the induction light.

    I know quite a few people who are growing 100% induction and getting great results

    LAMP COMPARISONS

    excuse my cut and paste but an induction lamp is more like 850 HPS but I know guys who replaced their 1000w with 400w induction and doing great and cutting energy in half... a few induction companies have options regarding color spectrums, i wouldn't dismiss induction as an option.. they are def not LEDs
    by the numbers
    Watts Mean Pupil Lumens CRI S/P Ratio Watt Ratio
    Induction Lamps 400 42,000 85 1.96 1.00
    Metal Halide 700 42,000 65 1.49 1.75
    High Pressure Sodium 850 42,000 21 0.62 2.14

    Induction = 80 lumens/watt
    MH = 90-120 lumens/watt
    HPS = 120-150 lumens/watt
    T5 fluorescent = 90-100 lumens/watt

    Induction is the least efficient light source but has long lamp life.

    Yes, I got heard from a seller website from Riant Lighting. Does that mean the plants will grow longer under induction grow light?

    未标题-1副本.jpg

    Plants grow depend on PAR, not lumen output, high lumen not means high efficiency
