Hello,

I found mold on some of the lettuce in my NFT system. I shut the system down, threw the lettuce away, drained the system and then ran water with greenshield threw the system. Is this safe? How long should I wait before putting plants in again?

First thing to do is figure out what kind of mold it is and how it got there. Slime molds come with municipal water and can be controlled with 500 ppm of 3% hydrogen peroxide. Many molds are controlled by hydrogen peroxide.
