    Default PH

    I am having trouble with my ph down.... I feel like i should not have to add as much as i am to get it to change.... What am i doing wrong? please help

    This is probably because your source water is very hard and contains high levels of dissolved minerals. Do you have a EC or PPM meter to confirm? The minerals that make the water hard act as a buffer, which makes it more difficult to affect change in pH and causes the pH to rebound over the next 24 hours after using a pH adjuster. So if you're source water is 7.5 and you lower it to 5.8, it may bounce back up to 7.0 the next day. After subsequent adjustments, however, the rebounding effect will diminish.
