Talking My DIY Hydroponics or Aquaponics - any flaws?

I am pretty new to hydroponic growth system and just invested some money setting up a DIY hydroponic system....but with a few ideas put in.

first, my setup is in my blog where you can see all the details there...

My question however is there any flaws to my design?

The aquarium tank below have fishes that produces fish waste that fertilize my plants above...hence the term Aquaponics.

I saw someone did it before on youtube hence my new setup ...

I do hope to amend any flaws to my design to make it better.

That's an interesting idea, I'll have to look into it.

    Thanks!

The current problem is the lack of water flow on the top bucket which contribute to the slower growth?

I will try to make some hose to reach other locations as well ^_^

Yeah I don't have experience with Aquaponics. But WOW, you really have a good set up there. I hear Koi (sp?) fish are also good fish for Aquaponic gardens.

I just update a new video in my blog on the status of my aquaponic system

    Things modified/Upgraded
    1. Twin Barrel Fish Protector to point upwards
    2. Baby Fishes Birth!
    3. Water irrigation on top bucket improved!

Hopefully, this will inspire more indoor urban farmers to start their aquaponics!

    Yeah, google, "Aquaponics Australia"
they have the best concept I've seen yet
I built my own of my own design with
5 gallon buckets but is too complex and
prone to problems, requires too much
    monitoring
and I am switching to their flood and drain
design with gravel in a 6" tray flooded on
a timer every hour or so with the fish tank
water. Just get some "fish clarifyer" stuff
in the yellow bottle from Walmart or wherever
which has the necessary bacterial starter
    culture and nature takes over.
